International Collaboration

HCEI’s seminar “Celebrating Ourselves:  Beating Burnout” has been presented for a variety of audiences internationally including:
  • Social workers
  • Medical providers
  • Administrators
  • Mental health providers
  • Family carers
Stress affects everybody.  So beginning in 2004, HCEI became the first organization to create international collaborations around burnout prevention for caregivers.  Beyond their success in the United States, seminars have been presented to a variety of audiences in Scotland, Wales, and England.

The content was culturally appropriate and effective from the Orkney Islands to Birmingham.  In many cases this was the first resilience workshop carers had ever attended, many of whom have been providing care for decades.
